Salento includes the entire province of Lecce and extends northward to incorporate part of the provinces of Brindisi and Taranto .
Surrounded by two seas, the Adriatic Sea to the east and the Ionian Sea to the west, which touch in the deep sea of the Capo di Santa Maria di Leuca, Salento geographically corresponds to the old Terra d'Otranto , a large plain dotted with the green of centuries-old olive trees , typical villages and long beaches with very fine golden sand alternating with high and jagged rocks.
Here the sun kisses you all year round!
In recent years, the Puglia region has become one of the favorite destinations of national and international tourists, who prefer rural, cultural and food and wine tourism. Puglia ranks 11th in the national ranking for both arrivals and tourist presences; tourism is therefore the leading sector of the region.

The Salento area has a concentration of tourists especially in the summer months, in fact by observing the third graph it is possible to notice how the influx decreases considerably, despite the policies of seasonal adjustment of tourism.
In recent years, moreover, Salento has become the favorite destination of VIP weddings, including international ones, thanks to the beauty and peculiarities of the locations, greatly influencing the local tourist flow.
